The following is the prepared text for the presentation, and at the very end of this page you can see some video excerpts from the presentation.
Authentic Worldclass Remote Viewing: History + an Easy "How To"
OK, I will start by introducing myself. My name is Kiau, it sounds like the cat sound meow with a “K”. Kiau.
I started learning Remote Viewing in 2011, teaching it in 2012.
In 2022 I started Latin America’s best Authentic Remote Viewing school with another Remote Viewer a lady from Colombia, and now there are 4 of us that run the school.
It’s initials are ATVE, which translates to TAOYEE in english, Take Advantage Of Your Extra Edge.
We’ll start out with an Einstein quote about morality and education:
It`s quite common to hear stories of mothers who were doing some minor task, for example washing dishes,
when they get a flash in their consciousness, and then they are aware that either one of their little children is doing something mischeivous or dangerous,
or some sort of accident might have happened. It's common that the realization comes with an image, which gives them the context of where to go looking for the child.
When they go looking and find the child, the flash information is confirmed to be true.
This is the same basic instinct that is in all of us, and that is developed in authentic Remote Viewing, which might better be named remote perception.
If you can see a star at night, you can Remote View. It is as simple as that.
Remote Viewing is not an intelectual excersize. It is an ability we have that can be identified and improved.
The light we see from stars is real energy travelling sometimes from millions of miles away, even light years, through great amounts of time.
Your nerves, the energy flowing through your body so that you can perceive things is very subtle and fine.
Dr Michael Persinger who studied how Ingo Swann's brain was functioning when he was correctly perceiving things psychically, explains how fine that signal is, and how it is not necessary for the energy to be strong, for the psychic functionning.
Just as you can see a star, you can perceive anything using Remote Viewing on planet earth, and also beyond.
In Educational Remote Viewing there is the:
Viewer - the person that does the Remote Viewing, the student
Tasker - the person that prepares the question that the Viewer has to answer
Monitor - an assistant to the Viewer, and the Trainer, depending on the situation
Analyst - the person that looks at what the Viewer writes down or records, and knows how to interpret it.
Trainer - the person teaching Remote Viewing.
In Operational (professional) Remote Viewing there is the:
Viewer - the person that does the Remote Viewing
The Project Manager - the person that prepares the question that the Viewer has to answer
Monitor - an assistant to the Viewer, and a Trainer, depending on the situation
Analyst - the person that looks at what the Viewer writes down or records, and knows how to interpret it. Usually it is the Project Manager.
Client - the person paying for, or asking for, the information the Viewer produces.
In Operational (professional) Remote Viewing there are paid sessions,
and Pro Bono sessions, ones that are done free of charge, usually for humanitarian causes, or educational means.
A friend that’s new to Remote Viewing asked me how it works or, we were talking about how it could be possible that this information is expressed by the Remote Viewer,
when it’s obviously done in a blind situation, and the information is obviously beyond the normal 5 senses.
So, some people believed that it’s spirit guides, or the most recent thing that we use is information theory and the idea is that all information is accessible to the Remote Viewer.
In the past many thought that the information moved along electromagnetic frequencies, similar to satellite or cel phone communications, however multiple scientific tests have been done that disprove that theory.
Personally, I explained to my friend that the truth, is clear and obvious when it is the truth, and that it can be like, and move and express itself like a spirit.
As a philosophy, the idea of universal wisdom, is that all the truth that can be understood by a person, can be taken advantage of to live the best life possible, and then of course the person is in harmony with the environment the person lives in and the rest of the world, everything.
In my opinion, besides the importance of morality and ethics, the most important lesson to take away from all of this, is that you can do these things, you and anyone else can learn Remote Viewing and learn to use and improve your ability to use Extra Sensory Perception.
You have these abilities, and I am not asking that you believe any of it.
However, I strongly recommend that you do the experiments properly, and then you will understand the importance of this.
So, worth mentioning, now that I am in the Nanaimo region, Nanaimo has been the home to two very distinguished authentic world class viewers.
One is still rocking, Paul Elder who lives in Ladysmith right now, and he had the Monroe Institute canadian building and would give a lot of courses and instruction there.
The other, George McMullen, was working as a car parts person here, while he did RV on his own time.
You can see him on youtube in “The Alexandria Project” about RV’ing he did with Hella Hammid, for Dr Stephen Schwartz in Egypt,
and he’s in the International Remote Viewing Association's Conference videos,
and has at least 4 books published, which we have in our Remote Viewing school’s library.
Paul Elder has one, Eyes of an Angel, which is great.
Remote Viewing would be better called Remote Perception because the classic five senses are called upon, and words and ideas also are expressed, independent of visuals. Smell, Hearing, Sight, Touch, Taste, Temperature.
OK, we will watch a little video here of Ingo Swann. He’s the person that defined Remote Viewing on december 8th 1971, a little bit after this video was made
Blind experiments or sessions mean that the Viewer has no idea what the correct answer to the tasking question is.
Double blind experiments or sessions mean that the Viewer has no idea what the correct answer to the tasking question is, and nobody else present with the Viewer, know what the correct answer to the tasking question is.
During the live presentation, the audience did two brief experiments, each about a total of 3 minutes, whereby they tried to draw and describe on their papers, the place represented in the photos in two different envelopes.
One of the envelopes, I knew what it was, and thus, the experiment was "Blind" for them, or "single blind".
The other experiment with the other envelope, I did not know what was inside the envelope, and they tried to draw the the place represented in the photo.
As I explained to them there, we were not properly trying to do Remote Viewing, because I did not teach them anything about how to do RV, and was not monitoring them.
The quick experiments were only to demonstrate "blind" versus "double blind" and I also used it to explain the difference between an 'experiment' and 'trials'.
Here is an example of a tasking #. It is a random number that is used to identify the session or experiment.
Here is an example of a tasking, this is the question that the Viewer must answer, and is usually accompanied by photos or videos.
In this example, the following is what was in the envelope, what the Viewer wants to perceive psychically.
These are given to the Viewer after the session is complete, and is called Feedback, for the Viewer.
The difference between Experiments and Trials, is that the Experiment is what is done, and there are many different experiments and types of experiments, for example "to perceive what is in the envelope", or "to perceive what is in the box", etc.
The trial, is when an experiment is repeated.
So if there is an experiment is repeated 10 times, we can say that 10 Trials were done for the one Experiment.
Ingo participated in a huge amount of experiments each with their many trials, where they were trying to prove that he could perceive things at a distance,
in a bunch of different varieties of experiences with different colours and contexts, with different testing mechanisms.
All total he did hundreds of thousands of trials.
One day he said to the people running the experiments that they were trivializing his abilities, and that if a person wants to know what is inside the box, or inside the envelope, is all they have to do is to go up to the box and look in,
or open the envelope and look inside, but that he could perceive things much much further away.
So he proposed a new experiment, before the internet, in 1971 whereby he would detail the weather occurring in different cities around the world, and after he had detailed that, the scientists would contact these places by phone to see what was going on there to confirm or disprove what Ingo had talked about, what he mentioned.
To everyone’s surprise he was correct in most of them and he also was correct on ones that wouldn’t logically have made sense, for example he reported a hail storm in Arizona, at a time when they didn’t normally have those types of storms and he described it quite accurately.
He would also describe the precipitation, the temperature, specific aspects of the weather conditions, for all the places.
So after that was successful, Dr Janet Mitchell also present, he decided to name the effect Remote Viewing.
The phrase Remote Sensing was already being used by people that were developing spy satellites.
Ingo had discovered that he could convey the psychic information more successfully and clearly using images.
Ingo was special and intelligent because during the process of being tested, going through all these different experiments, he started to study and see who else had done anything similar.
Among the things he found was the English Society for Psychical Research (SPR) that has been running since 1882.
The book Mental Radio by Upton Sinclair, documents successful ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) experiments that were done with his wife, Mary Craig.
Many successful experiments they documented and presented to the public in 1930. Albert Einstein did a prologue for the book.
Mary Craig
Rene Warcollier from France started in 1922 doing a lot of experiments, perception at a distance, and he published two books:
Experiments in Telepathy (1938)
and
Mind to Mind (1948)
Ingo Swann did the preface in a recent publication of Mind to Mind.
Double click to change this paragraph text. This is not a Lorem Ipsum text, but we still want to keep it long, blah-blah-blah, is it long yet? Oh it's enough, double click to edit :)
Ingo mentions a lot more people that he researched, in his book Natural ESP that was first published in 1987.
It is available on amazon, and it is the only book I would recommend to a person just starting to practice Remote Viewing.
Remote Viewing is something that you learn by doing. Intellectual philosophising or "deciding how it is supposed to happen in your mind" are not helpful to the learning process.
These are the three editions of the book as published in different times. The far right version is the latest one, now easily available.
So, when he made the breakthrough to include sketching in the experimental process he was getting better and better and better and improving his success rate at all of these different tests and trials.
Finally he had one series of tests that the results were so good that the parapsychologists he was working with, one or two of them, couldn’t believe it was possible. They decided not to publish the results of the experiments.
For him that was an insult because among other things it also implied that he was cheating which of course he wasn’t.
We teach this ability and this has happened to us once, with one of our students, so we will take a look at a part of that session here.
Our student, who is in Chile, was given what is called the Tasking Number. These are random numbers and letters, that are used to identify the task the Remote Viewer is supposed to complete.
Here is an actual example of a Tasking Number, and the Tasking which was included inside the envelope. This is from an Outbounder Experiment that we did last May 19th, about 2 weeks ago.
This translates to:
“Draw out and describe completely, the site where Lucero is during the experiment.”
So, our student in Chile, we gave him a Tasking Number, random numbers and letters, for example, 9012 BDQZ for example, and he knew that he had to write information on paper, then send us images of his papers, before we would reveal to him, what the tasking was, via a photo or video with a question.
So, he doesn’t know what the photo or video with words are, and before seeing them, he has to answer the question properly by drawing it out, and writing words to accompany the drawing.
It could be dealing with anything on planet earth, so it was impossible to guess what the question was with the photo and video.
This is page 7 of his session.
This is what he was supposed to be perceiving using Remote Viewing.
If you notice the second image he drew at the bottom of the page, take a look at this video, from the same Ferry.
If you notice at 12 seconds, you can see the spinning communications device above the window.
So, when my assistant, Mayra in Uruguay saw what he had done, she thought he might have been cheating because his results were so unusually good.
The good news, is that he did 37 sessions as part of his Course with us, and he demonstrated his ability again, . . . he is just that good.
So, going back to 1971, with Ingo Swann.
OK, so Ingo was a little bit frustrated with the inefficiency of the parapsychological community in New York that he was testing with, and investigating PSI with.
He had been interested in PSI before these experiments and had collected a lot of information about it. He was an artist, and author, a very creative person. He also worked at the United Nations at an office job. He had also served in the Korean war, and had a degree in biology. He was originally from Colorado.
So Ingo was testing and experimenting with Cleve Backster. "Cleve" Backster invented the polygraph lie detector machine, and they were doing experiments with plant communication. They determined that plants could understand human communication and have their own consciousness.
So, through Cleve Backster, Ingo heard about Dr Hal H Puthoff, who had published a text book about Quantum Physics, and had patents on lasers that he and Russel Targ were working on in the 1960’s.
Dr Hal Puthoff and Russell Targ had the idea of exploring PSI, “psychic powers”, scientifically, not as a form of parapsychology, but as actual physicists. They received a little bit of funding through someone they knew in NASA.
So, Ingo was invited to come out to visit them at Stanford Research Institute in California. Dr Hal Puthoff had a surprise test for Ingo. Here’s Dr Hal Puthoff speaking about it.
Ingo Swann with Dr Hal Puthoff (left) in the early 1970´s.
So this magnetometer was buried underneath meters of concrete and was top secret.
Ingo managed to draw sketches of what it looked like, and when he was perceiving it, it’s magnetic field changed, which was detected by the same magnetometer.
The CIA heard about the experiment, and went to SRI to test Ingo Swann, and another psychic that the SRI was testing, Pat Price.
Pat Price was a police detective in California that had been using his abilities for his police work, for a long time.
Both Ingo and Pat demonstrated that they could perceive both American and Russian top secret military bases and information, including written text on files in hidden documents.
So, around this time Ingo was appearing in Time magazine, Newsweek, and other similiar mass media.
Around this time too the Outbounder Experiment was officially developed and announced to the world.
This was based on successful experiments Ingo had done previous to the SRI and Dr Hal Puthoff; at the ASPR, American Society for Psychical Research.
The Outbounder Experiment is an experiment where they knew that it was easy to demonstrate PSI.
They knew that it has a higher probability of working, and making it clear that psychic powers do exist and that people have these abilities.
So, once the actual PSI (PSI = psychic powers) investigation project was started at SRI a variety of people participated in it, not just Ingo Swann, and eventually they published their scientific results of this in peer reviewed journals.
The experiments were double blind, repeatable, verifiable experiments.
The IEEE still has a copy of the report of those experiments and the results. Nature magazine also published them, and basically this is the official announcement to the western world that science has discovered that humans have ESP, extra sensory perception, specifically what they were calling Remote Viewing.
This is what the IEEE, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, page looks like right now, on the internet, where Remote Viewing was announced in the scientific community.
This is the previous scientific publication of Remote Viewing from Nature in october of 1974.
https://www.nature.com/articles/251602a0
Here is the IEEE publication from 1976.
https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/1454382?arnumber=1454382
For people that didn’t or can’t see the scientific publication announcing Remote Viewing to the world, this book was published for the general public in the book “Mind Reach”.
There are two additions, the original one from 1977, and an updated one from 2005.
I recommend the 2005 one because it has more details, that couldn’t be revealed in 1977 when there was a top secret psychic spy program running at the same time as the public announcement of Remote Viewing.
This book gives the basic details on how to do an Outbounder Experiment, and that text is available in the section on how to learn Remote Viewing, on the TAOYEE general page:
https://www.kiauhmitl.com/tlaziuke/learncrv
If you do decide to try it, send me an email, and I will send you some pointers on how to do it more successfully.
OK, one of the main reasons that Ingo Swann was so successful at developing the best teaching method for learning how to Remote View, was because he had done thousands of different ESP experiments, and hundreds of thousands of trials of those experiments.
He understood the inner workings of the psychic process intimately, and also researched and investigated what history and the rest of world could illustrate about it.
Here are a few of some of his more famous Remote Viewings:
Here he was blind to the site, and he started saying that he perceived nothing, just a bunch of water.
Then, he started saying something like "oh, wait a minute, there's some land over there".
Then, he started drawing out what he was perceiving.
They would set down more and more pages, as he continued drawing out the site.
At the end of it, he had an overhead map of the site with many correct details explaining different parts of the place.
This is what Ingo drew out, being blind to the target. He was perceiving the island from overhead.
This is an actual map of the island. Ingo included many correct details about specific things found on the island, in the above sketch.
I know this is possible because our students and one of the ladies that works in our school, have done similiar things.
In the following, NASA had a satellite in space, heading towards Jupiter.
Ingo was tasked to view Jupiter and provide details about the planet.
When they reviewed his session, they thought is was a little ridiculous, because among other things, he reported there were rings around Jupiter, when everybody knows that it is Saturn that has rings.
To everybody's surprise, months later when the satellite passed Jupiter, and the information from the satellite reached NASA, they were surprised to see that Ingo was correct.
Jupiter's rings are very faint and not seen from earth by the naked eye. Many of the other things Ingo reported were correct.
All of this may seem interesting, . . . it becomes amazing when you see that you can do this. No AI, no cel phone, no computer, just you and your organic system.
Another series of experiments was done whereby Ingo would perceive when the US military was secretly launching missiles.
He proved that their system was not secret for people that decide to learn this properly.
So, while the SRI scientists were publicly studying remote perception, for many years at the same time the US military and CIA were running secret programs where military people were trained to Remote View and used to spy on other countries and criminals.
When the army started to train soldiers to be psychic spies there wasn't a training method yet, so Skip Atwater, who had visited Robert Monroe, and had an Out of Body Experience at the Monroe Institute, decided to incorporate what he could learn from Robert Monroe.
A method of Remote Viewing called Extended Remote Viewing was used, before Controlled Remote Viewing which was developed later by Ingo Swann with Dr Hal H Puthoff.
The ERV method commonly involved a person laying down in a semi asleep very relaxed state, often with their eyes closed, speaking, while their words were being recorded. They could draw pictures once they were fully awake afterwards.
Here's Robert Monroe visiting the SRI (Stanford Research Institute) with the highly skilled Remote Viewing Pat Price, and the scientist Russel Targ present.
Here`s an example of what the public had access to, while the top secret program was going on.
This is a BBC documentary from 1983.
In 1983 Ingo Swann was secretly training military people with the best Remote Viewing method every developed, authentic Controlled Remote Viewing.
Now, many people say that they train CRV, very few actually train or even know the details of authentic CRV as developed by Ingo Swann with Dr Hal Puthoff.
Here is Ingo with his CRV students:
Tom McNear pictured top right, gives a decent explanation of CRV in the video on the TAOYEE page
https://www.atve.org/taoyee
titled:
Thomas McNear on Ingo Swann & Remote Viewing. Presented at the American Visionary Art Museum
A person here tonight told me about her experience, and then asked me if it was Remote Viewing what she did.
When she was in her late teens she perceived her boyfriend with great detail cheating on her with another lady.
When she insisted that her perception was real, and then later when it was confirmed and revealed that it was, some people accused her of being a witch.
So obviously, it is the same instinct, the same ability that she demonstrated, that is used in Remote Viewing.
For sure it was spontaneous PSI, spelt P S I, which refers to psychic powers in a general sense, and it was extrasensory perception.
I guess if she was tasked blind for the information, then officially it would be RV, although really, it’s a hard call, because she was blind to the event, and it was verified afterwards, so really you could call it RV.
So, just to make my point clearer, there are many many different types of psychic powers, for example telekenises, that are not RV.
They can be just as valid as RV, . . . just for the sake of precision, RV does have specific definitions, and specific protocol.
Here is the official definition that was used in the 1980's especially in "military intelligence" documents:
Here is a more recent definition offered by Tom McNear. Notice the segund part of this definition, it is very important:
Here is Joseph McMoneagle's definition of RV, which includes important aspects of RV protocol, like the Viewer and those present being blind to the target, and that the feedback is verifiable.
Here`s my definition of authentic Remote Viewing:
“Remote Viewing is a systematic scientific method that teaches people to develop and take advantage of specific abilities of extrasensory perception.”
It's normal that Remote Viewers take statistics from their sessions. I have done over 900 sessions.
So, when people start communicating about what we call "esoteric" targets, like for example sasquatch/bigfoot, aliens, or communicating with Gods etc, we know, as Remote Viewers, that if they can't actually verify the information, that really, it is not Remote Viewing.
It is common that great Remote Viewers often get tasked to produce information about such targets,
however, those same people should already have a lot of verified sessions, a very clear defined reputation, that is backed up by their demonstrated ability.
And then, even still, they know, as everybody should, that if the information can not be verified, it is only speculation, or imagination, until it is verified.
There are many types of Remote Viewing, we mentioned:
ERV - Extended Remote Viewing
CRV - Controlled Remote Viewing
ARV - Associative Remote Viewing is used for making basic decisions that might have only limited (for example 2 or 3) possible correct answers.
ARV is used for people in the investment and gambling communities, for example, winning the lottery.
ARV was essentially started when Dr Hal H Puthoff needed money for a school.
So Russell Targ and Dr Stephen Schwartz combined RV efforts with a friend that invested in silver, and during the autumn of 1982 they made 120,000 USD.
So, to recap, Remote Viewing started in 1971 as a fairly unknown parapsychological experiment.
Then it started to become better known by 1973, and the military intelligence community wanted to take advantage of it.
So, while a public research program was happening, that was sometimes reported in the news, there was also a secret military spying program happening.
In 1995 the CIA announced to the world that the secret program existed, however, to try and continue to maintain some sort of secrecy, the CIA lied to the public and said that the Remote Viewing program was of no use.
This was part of a public disinformation campaign.
In 1995 most of the documentation of the secret military program was not available to the public, so essentially the CIA could lie and get away with it.
Through the Freedom of Information Act in the US, now most of that information IS available to the public, so now it is clear and obvious that Remote Viewing was very important and is very real.
A disinformation campaign continues even until today, and you can see false information about Remote Viewing on wikipedia and in some videos on youtube.
At the same time, a public movement exists of people learning, practicing, and teaching real Remote Viewing.
More importantly, the techniques that were developed, are universal to humanity. Anybody can learn them, and repeat them. They are verifiable.
Joseph McMoneagle, one of the original military Remote Viewers, or "psychic spies" was invited to appear on live Japanese television to demonstrate his abilities.
He was asked to located disappeared people, and on live TV a crew would go out to the places where Joseph's Remote Viewing indicated the missing people would be found, and of the 28 cases given him, 14 people were located.
Joseph stated that some people did not want to be located, and he respected their wishes, and the remaining cases, simply did not work.
Here is video from that:
Joseph McMoneagle lists levels of successful Remote Viewing. These are all blind results, which means that the drawing is what he could produce writing on paper, without knowing what he was being asked to perceive.
The hidden photos are of the blind target he was asked or "targeted" to perceive.

OK, let’s fastforward to august 2022. This is when our Remote Viewing school started doing Live Outbounder Experiments, with people in Latin America, here in Nanaimo.
So for our first experiment, we had people on a zoom in Argentina, Chile, India, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, and Pigeon Lake Alberta.
The zoom looks like most zooms, with people from all over Latin America.
I was in Cedar/Nanaimo, however they did not know that. I didn't even tell them I was in canada.
So, I had 6 envelopes on a table, with 6 different locations in the Nanaimo region, one different location inside each of the 6 envelopes.
I didn’t know which one was which, inside the envelopes.
The students use a random number generator to select an envelope.
I grab the envelope and go to my truck.
My assistant in Colombia, has no idea where I will go, and she continues with the students on the zoom.
When I get to the truck, I open the envelope and go to the location.
The students start writing on their papers, once I am at the site, which is 30 minutes after I left the zoom.
They try to perceive and express what is at the site, and write that on their papers.
After 20 minutes of writing on their papers, trying to perceive where I was, they take pictures of their papers, and email them to our account.
Once we have all the emails in our account, I come on the zoom, and show them the site they were trying to Remote View.
They can´t change what they wrote on their papers because it is in the emails and date stamped with the arrival time.
This was the best session from that day. It was the first authentic Remote Viewing session that this person had ever done, their first time trying the Outbounder Experiment.
The person did a very simple map of the site and most of her words were correct and very perceptive as to what was happening while I was on site.
She was in Argentina and did not know me or know about me except maybe my name, before the zoom.
She did not know that I was in canada or Nanaimo.
OK, now we will see some quick Controlled Remote Viewing done by Sofia T, the other founder of our school, and by myself.
This is an infomercial we did for our school.
The second session, done by the Sofia, was blind, and she produced many drawings with relevant information about the mystery target she was blind to, and trying to perceive psychically.
Here´s some of those drawings:
(150 meters above the gestalt "site")
Something Should Be Perceivable
(100 meters in front of the gestalt "site", looking towards the gestalt "site")
Something Should Be Perceivable

Here is the gestalt/site target, she was perceiving psychically:
Here is the best page from the session, where I was trying to perceive a blind target psychically:
Here is the target that I was physically blind to, however I was perceiving psychically using authentic Controlled Remote Viewing.
I took a little Remote Viewing course with Joseph McMoneagle, and among many other things, he explained to us, that when he has to do a presentation on television or video of his abilities, he does the session or sessions previous to the taping of the event, so that essentially, he is just repeating things that he has already recently established in private sessions.
This simplifies the task, so that he is not under pressure in front of the cameras and unfamiliar people.
Of course, this also means that he is perceiving the event before it happens.
Recently, one of our students wrote me to say that she could not be present to participate in a Live Outbounder Experiment.
So I answered that it was not a problem, she could do her session at her convenience and email it in, as we would not reveal the mystery location to her.
I thought that she would do her session after the Experiment was over. It is very common that we practice using photographs or video, that was taken in the past.
She surprised me, by sending in her session 2 hours before the Live Outbounder Experiment, simply because it did not occur to her that there was any sort of difference.
Her session was nice and in fact, predicted where the person was going to go to, even though that same person did not know where they were going to go to, until 30 minutes before she was on site.
Our student had done what Joseph McMoneagle does.
That inspired me to try the same, and in two consecutive experiments, I successfully reported information about the site where the person was going to go, weeks later, without that person knowing where they were to go, when I wrote out the information.
On the next, the third consecutive experiment I was successfull at locating on a map, very close to the mystery site, while blind to the site, where the person went.
This is a map showing where our students are.
So, we have seen how a person starts learning RV,
however, once they are properly trained, basically there are not many limits to the information that can be received and documented,
and for example it includes mind to mind with people in history and the future, telepathy, not limited by time or space.
Among other things, learning RV makes you more creative, more empathetic, improves your mental discipline, and increases your leadership skills.
It gives you a broader more precise experience of the world, and basically keeps your mental radar sharper so that you can better operate in the world.
The information obtained from Remote Viewing can be used for a large variety of positive things.
If you are interested in seeing world class, authentic Remote Viewing, that is public on youtube, check out my friend David Powell.
You can actually watch him as he does sessions live, recorded on video, and in my opinion his remote viewing is as good as anyone in the history of Remote Viewing, and definitely better than 99% of us.
Here is his youtube channel:

Here is a quote from another world class authentic Remote Viewer. He is canadian.
Joffre to Derek Schlieps
Your question; "What is the Purpose of remote viewing if you are not using it to spy on something or locate something.?"
I was taught that everything is connected through a life force /spirit. The universe is an infinite blend of function and purpose. This life force/ spirit may be what is referred to as "Signal Line"
For me, remote viewing has taught me and continually teaches me a process to reach out consciously listen, see, smell, feel, hear, understand what is known and articulate it here.
More specifically, to bring information, experience (anything) out of the infinite to here and now in the present.
Remote Viewing is a tool for us infinite connected creatures to use, to expand upon and give definition and language in the 3D.
Remote Viewing is not a parlour trick, and the experience you had with your friend is likely a great example of an experienced consciousness event.
I feel Remote Viewing has a greater Purpose far beyond spying and locating something.
It is a tool/ mechanism/methodology of extrapolation interpretation and articulation of the infinite and ineffable.
I have spoken to a target 76 years ago and the target gave the information that was the tasking.
I along with so many Remote Viewers have provided invaluable details on so many real world targets that have found treasures, found missing people, solved fortune 500 corporate issues and this list goes on.
To encompass the entire purpose is ineffable.

Here's one of our spanish language school´s internet pages,
Latin America's best school for learning authentic Remote Viewing:
https://www.atve.org/
Our english language page that was put together specifically for this event is:
It includes instructions on how to learn to do Remote Viewing.
For example, if you decide to try the Outbounder Experiment, you should do it 9 times, so that you can see strong results.
Then you should do a variety of recorded targets, at least 28 of them.
Then you should learn authentic Ingo Swann CRV.
To develop your ability to a master's level generally takes 3 and a half years of specific development.
Remote Viewing or "perception at a distance" does not require an advanced intellect or the special use and care of one of your glands.
It requires proper practice to develop at a higher functioning level.
RV is a perceptive faculty that we all have built into us like hearing, temperature perception, smelling, seeing, or touch.
To describe it in simple terms it's an ability we have, that is running at a low level that seems almost asleep.
To wake it up science has discovered specific activities, like exercise that we can do to improve our performance.
That learning method is how I define authentic Remote Viewing.
RV can perceive microscopic things, people, their thoughts, events, and even very large scope things, like aspects of planets.
The majority of RV is done on blank white letter size paper with black pens.
